WDMA Announces Evolution and Rebranding of Signature Events

As the window, door, and skylight industry continues to evolve, WDMA is updating the structure and focus of several of its signature events to better support advocacy, engagement, and leadership across the membership.

These changes are designed to clarify the purpose of each event, expand participation, and align WDMA’s convenings with the growing sophistication of the association’s work on behalf of its members.

Spring Legislative Conference Becomes the WDMA Advocacy Summit

To maximize the impact of WDMA’s advocacy efforts in Washington, D.C., the former Spring Legislative Conference and Membership Meeting will be separated into two distinct events.

The legislative-focused portion will now be known as the WDMA Advocacy Summit. This evolution reflects the growth and complexity of WDMA’s advocacy agenda and the need for a more focused, immersive experience when engaging with policymakers and regulators. The Advocacy Summit will deliver targeted content and experiences designed to advance the industry’s federal priorities.

An executive summary outlining the vision and structure for the WDMA Advocacy Summit is available to members.

Membership Meeting Transitions to a Virtual Annual Format

The Membership Meeting will now become the WDMA Annual Membership Meeting and will be held online in March, with the specific date to be announced in the coming days.

Moving the meeting online allows more member company leaders to participate in association governance. During the Annual Membership Meeting, WDMA will conduct the standard business members expect, including elections and organizational updates.

WDMA will also introduce OnBoard, a new portal for board and committee engagement, to manage board elections. Each member company will continue to receive one vote, with ballot access provided to the designated primary contact. To encourage participation, balloting may open prior to the meeting and close on or before the meeting date.

Technical and Manufacturing Conference Rebranded as The FRAME

Beginning in 2026, WDMA’s Technical and Manufacturing Conference will be rebranded as The FRAME.

The new name reflects both the foundational role frames play in fenestration products and the core themes that will define the event moving forward: Fenestration Research, Advocacy, and Manufacturing Excellence. The name also builds on WDMA’s Beyond the Frame member newsletter, signaling continuity while expanding the event’s scope and perception.

Each year, The FRAME will feature a thematic subtitle aligned with its content focus. WDMA is currently shaping the core tenets for The FRAME 2026, with additional details to be shared later this month.

Executive Management Conference Becomes the Executive Leadership Forum

Based on feedback from senior leaders following the 2025 Executive Management Conference, WDMA is introducing a refreshed format and updated name: the Executive Leadership Forum.

The change reflects a shift toward deeper peer-to-peer engagement, open dialogue, and collaborative problem-solving around industry-wide issues. Replacing “management” with “leadership” broadens the event’s perspective, while the move from “conference” to “forum” underscores its interactive, discussion-driven design. Participation will remain focused on senior executives to preserve the value of these conversations.

Looking Ahead

These updates reflect WDMA’s continued commitment to delivering purposeful, high-impact events that support the association’s advocacy efforts, strengthen member engagement, and foster leadership across the industry.

Additional details, including dates, formats, and registration information, will be announced as plans are finalized.
